The Millennium Cultural Association was born in 2001 with the intention of safeguard and promote the cultural and artistic patrimony of the island of Procida, particularly of the library and of the Abbey of Saint Michael Archangel where it works giving a qualified service of guided tours, in foreign language too.

Thanks to the work of the Association,the Abbey have been reorganised to allow visitors to enjoy the huge artistic patrimony.

The Millennium Cultural Association has realized several projects such as the cleaning and the restoration of the Neapolitan nativity of XVIII century, the adhesion of the library to the Regional Pole SBN; the cataloguing of its 8.000 volumes and the realization of the new web site are currently underway.

Over the years the Association has published a short guide in Italian and in English language on the Abbey and the Ex votos, a guide of the island of Procida, a map of the island, and it has organised cultural events, exhibitions and concerts.

From 2016 until the June 2017, besides, it has performed a service of guided tours at D’Avalos castle, ex prison of the island and Royal Palace at Bourbons time.

The Association offers several guided tours to promote and to discover the beauty of the island: historic, artistic, naturalistic and enogastronomic tours.
